MILLS GOLDEN NUGGET
Manufacturer: Mills
Year: Circa 1934 - 1960
Often regarded by many new collectors of slots as the most desirable in looks. Although it comes in a variety of colours the black cabinet version appears to be the most common found for sale. This particular model made by Mills is sometimes refered to as a Half Top, a description of the cabinet. The Golden Nugget is themed on the Las Vegas casino of the same name, and with it's golden ladies either side of the jackpot and the gold nuggets adorning the top half the machine is a "looker".
The one strange thing about this classic vintage slot machine is that it's probably not vintage and possibly not a classic, for reasons that the Golden Nugget Casino have always denied they ever commissioned these machines for their own casino. This is why all these models are probably not original but conversions from other Mills models, with the ladies and nuggets added.
These machines are modern day reproductions in majority of cases, but thats not to say it's a bad thing, if you like it and you enjoy owning a mechanical slot then where's the problem. However, be sure you understand it has absolutely no historic vintage antique value whatsoever.
The machine plays like all Mills with simple 3 reels with Cherries as low payout and Bells as high payouts.
